Clay Hand Building Freestyle Workshop

What is it?!

Artisan on The Square is now open as a clay studio. Book your two hour session here on the website and spend a couple of hours with us creating your own pottery piece/s from about a pound of our top quality earthenware clay. This is an adult workshop but children aged 12+ can attend with a paying adult. Both adult and child need to book a space on the workshop. We're on hand to help and The Pottery next door will take orders for coffee and cake. This is a very reasonable £39 per person for both visits. Clay cannot be shared. This includes a return visit after your first firing, to paint/glaze your pottery piece/s. We will fire up to 2 items within 3 weeks. You could make a house or a mug or a bowl or two smaller items. We’ll show you the basics and you can choose what to make. These sessions can be one offs or repeated over and over again. The beauty of this is you’re not tied in, just book whenever you like. We have lots of cutters and stamps to help you on your way. Glazing must take place within 2 weeks of firing, as storage is premium in our town centre studio.
